Thank you for making us Super Saiyans, Words cannot describe the loss of creator Akira Toriyama. The man who single hand redefined and captured the essence of the Anime/Manga genre in pop culture with his creation of Dragonball. Many who have seen my 100th episode will know the impact the series left on me as a child of the late 90s watching the adventures of Son Goku and friends in gathering the 7 Dragonballs and fighting bad guys from a thousand worlds. From its characters to its universe, Dragonball has been there since my anime beginnings and the Z fighters were my true friends growing up even if they were not real, and that power of imagination, writing and character goes to Akira Toriyama. Today we morn the passing of a legend in pop culture and a legacy in anime with this moment of silence and thank you for his life’s work and impact he left behind for us to love, cherish and respect forever.
